LG Consumer electronics says no overheating problem with new Qualcomm processor

South Korean mobile phone maker LG Consumer electronics Inc said on Thursday who's encountered no overheating difficulties with Qualcomm Inc's new Snapdragon processor that's powering a curved-screen device happening sale later this month.

"I am completely aware of the different concerns on the market about the (Snapdragon) 810, however the chip's performance is reasonably satisfactory, " Woo Ram-chan, LG vice web design manager for mobile merchandise planning, told reporters with a press event to the company's G Flex2 mobile phone.

The comment came after Bloomberg reported a day earlier that Samsung Consumer electronics Co Ltd, your world's top mobile phone maker, decided to not use the new Qualcomm processor to the next flagship Universe S smartphone following chip overheated through testing. Samsung and Qualcomm have declined to reply to the report, that cited unidentified sources.

Samsung is widely anticipated to unveil the new Galaxy S mobile phone in early Drive, and Bloomberg reported which the Korean firm will use its own processors alternatively.

But LG's Woo said on Thursday in which internal tests to the G Flex2, powered by the new Qualcomm processor, show that the newest product emits a smaller amount heat than other existing devices. The brand new phone is scheduled to start out selling in Southern Korea on January. 30.
